Farming Practices To Preserve Land & Water

Agriculture.

Ugandan’s favourable soil conditions and climate have contributed to the County’s agricultural success. Most of the areas in Uganda received plenty of rain for some years, small and some much.

Aquaculture

Fish makes up 50% of total animal protein intake, 90% of the national production consumed domestically.

Apiculture.

In rural communities where access to income is limited, small- scale beekeeping can contribute significantly to livelihood security.

Floriculture.

Growing and marketing of flowers, Cut flowers and ornamental young plants are very important export products for several developing countries in East Africa, South and Central America.

Horticulture

Benefits from horticultural development include improved nutrition for children and families, increased income from the sale of horticulture product.

Afforestation

The key concept of this Biomass Briquette project is to protect, keep the natural resource “FORESTRY” and provide energy at a low cost

Livestock.

Commonly defined as domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to produce labour and commodities such as meat, eggs, milk, fur, leather, and wool.

Poultry.

Poultry farming, raising of birds domestically or commercially, primarily for meat and eggs but also for feathers. Chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese.

Sheep farming

Sheep are raised principally for their meat (lamb and mutton), milk (sheep’s milk), and fiber (wool). They also yield sheepskin and parchment.
